‘Opposites attract’… a saying you’ve heard from your supporting best friend as you desperately try to put the puzzle pieces together in order to explain why you find interest in the 5’9” college freshman, instead of the tall, stacked senior track star that runs alongside you. Aliens, called ‘souls’ invaded Earth and have begun to take control of people’s minds! The new upcoming supernatural movie, The Host, is adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s novel. Written and directed by Andrew Niccol, the stars on deck include Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Diane Kruger, and Jake Abel. Souls can only survive through inserting a host into another person’s body. Melanie Stryder (Ronan) was inserted with one of these ‘souls.’ Melanie begins to feel sympathetic towards humans, discovers what love is, and is trying to run away from the people trying to kill her.
Tina Fey, 3o Rock star, and Paul Rudd, recent star of This is 40, are joining together on the screen for the first time together. Director, Paul Weitz, nominated for an Academy Award shows what occurs on the route to happiness. Tina Fey’s character in the new romance comedy, Admission, is a cookie-cutter, straight edged Princeton admission officer, Portia Nathan. A promotion is open for Portia, and she takes off on a recruiting trip for the upcoming year. On the road, she reconnects with her mother, expressing love for one another again. Portia heads off to New Quest school.
Starting out as one of the 26 girls in The Bachelor, Desiree Hartsock was fan-favorited as the new Bachelorette. People reports on the After the Final Rose special, Hartsock stated, “Just can’t even believe I’m here. With the support of everyone, it’s just such a blessing.” Entertainment Weekly reports that Hartsock shocked many when she sported a no bangs look, especially the Women Tell All. Hartsock will continue to shock many with drama, love, and passion on this summer’s ninth edition of The Bachelorette.

Juan Diego Solanas directed and wrote the French Canadian romantic science fiction film, Upside Down. Staring Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst, this futuristic love story is one for the books! Adam (Jim Sturgess) is searching through an alternative universe for the love of his childhood, Eden (Kirsten Dunst). The movie begins with Adam telling the story of his universe, the story of two planets next to each other; pulled in opposite directions by gravity. The ‘Up’ is the rich and prosperous while the ‘Down’ is the poor. The people down are strictly forbidden to go up. The only way they are able to communicate is through a company called ‘TransWorld.’ Adam finds a mountain which gets close to ‘Up.’ He meets Eden, and years later form a relationship as teenagers. Adam is able to pull Eden down by rope however, they get caught, Adam gets shot and drops Eden. He believes her to be dead but ten years later sees her on TV. He than begins his quest to find Eden, the love of his life.

Richard LaGravenese, Oscar nominee, directs the new supernatural love story, Beautiful Creatures. The movie is based off the first novel from the series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Ethan Wate (Alden Ehrenreich) is a 17-year old boy in a small Southern town of Gatlin, South Carolina. He constantly has the same dream surrounding a mysterious girl standing in the middle of a Civil War Battlefield. He wants to meet her, however, a lightning bolt erupts and kills Ethan before he can get to her. Ethan is trapped at home with his father, his father still in despair from the death of Ethan’s mother. His town is not up to date with the 21st century. Ethan’s way to escape is through books. One day, his life is shaken up when Lena Duchannes, (Alice Englert) comes into town. He is immediately drawn to the mysterious character. It is apparent that being around her is dangerous however, he ignores the thought. Ethan begins to get in over his head.

When asked about his wedding, Goodman told the Daily News, “I’ve had a marvelous day, and now my gorgeous Sue is the new Mrs. Goodman.” Although the wedding plans were a secret, Goodman did tell one person — his mother. “I wanted it to be a low-key affair, so we didn’t tell anyone except my 96-year-old mum as I didn’t want her having a heart attack with the surprise.”

Scarlett Johansson has got a new man. Just one month after splitting from advertising exec Nate Naylor, Johansson has been spotted out with French journalist Romain Dauriac. Johansson and her new beau were out on Sunday Nov. 18 in New York City for the premiere of her latest film, the making of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. A little rain doesn’t stop these two from romancing the night away in Rome. On Sunday, Hollywood couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis was spotted dining at Rome’s Antica Pesa Restaurant. The lovebirds ordered an array of mouth watering delights, such as Parma ham crudo and mozzarella, eggplant parmigiana and a salad with marinated anchovies. Whatever her reasons were, Kirstie Alley just had to confess. In a surprise even to Entertainment Tonight’s host Chris Jacobs, Alley revealed on Monday night’s episode that she had a very emotional and secretive relationship with then costar Patrick Swayze, while they were filming the 1985 movie, North and South. What makes this gossip even juicier is that the DWTS contestant, 61, and Swayze were both married! To clarify the details, Alley stated how their “affair” was emotional and not physical. “We did not have an affair. But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you’re married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It’s doubly bad.”

To Twilight fans, this is just more proof that their number one couple is back! It appears that love is still in the air. The PDA sightings of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis last week in Central Park continued on through the weekend and were photographed throughout New York City. From holding hands through dinner at The Lion on Friday night to matching blue T-shirts and jeans while watching football in a sports bar on Sunday, Kutcher, 34, and Kunis, 29, could not go long without a hug or a kiss from each other. As reported to People by an observer, the love birds even had a cozy dinner with another couple at Spasso restaurant on Saturday night and were “all lovey-dovey.” It looks like the love that began April is still holding strong.

Annie Lennox has put a little love in her heart again, reports People. The Scottish singer married Dr. Mitch Besser, an American gynecologist, Saturday in London. According to theDaily Record, Lennox’s two daughters, Lola, 22, and Tali, 19, along with a small group of friends and family members were present for the private ceremony. Dr. Besser, 57, is also founder of mothers2mothers, an organization in Africa aimed at helping prevent transmission of HIV from mother to baby. In 2009, it is through the organization that Lennox, also 57, met Dr. Besser. Let’s hope that Lennox’s third time is the charm.

Keeping in theme with their South Carolina wedding, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds decided on a mini-honeymoon at Virginia’s Inn in Little Washington, South Carolina, according to People. Located an hour and a half west of our nation’s capital, the Inn is operated by Chef Patrick O’Connell. It includes a French inspired restaurant, locally grown food and a 14,000 wine bottle cellar. As reported by theWashington Post, Reynolds, 35, wore a light blue shirt and khakis when he and his bride dined in the garden for a late dinner. The couple then spent Saturday night there before heading back to New York City.

Kimye is at it again. Bad-boy Kanye West held a solo concert in Atlantic City this weekend in which Ms. Kardashian attended.
