According to UsMagazine.com, The season one Apprentice winner Bill Rancic spoke out on the recent drama pertaining to the comments made by his celebrity wife on Fashion Police. Reality star Giuliana Rancic got some serious heat for her comments made around Zendaya’s hair at the Oscars. She said that the dreadlock look might smell like patchouli oil…or weed. Later she came forward clarifying this was a hippie joke, but ultimately the damage was done and the Rancics decided to ride out the storm. Bill spoke to their celebrity marriage during the chaos, saying, “We made a plan. We were gonna just kinda weather it. We’ve got a strong marriage. We love each other. And we knew that she didn’t do anything wrong. And obviously these situations bring us closer together. They can either tear you apart or bring you closer together, and we’re a team.”

In devastating news, E! stars Bill and Giuliana Rancic face a surrogate miscarriage. The couple has been struggling to have another child, who would be a sibling to their son Duke, born by surrogate in August of 2012. The Rancics have a loving, supportive relationship with their surrogate, Delphine, who had an unexpected miscarriage at about nine weeks along. Giulianna herself had undergone a miscarriage years before, which only aided the heartbreak of the circumstances, according to UsMagazine.com.

How do you support your partner through pregnancy troubles?

1. Don’t ask questions you already know the answer to: Questions such as “Are you okay?” may seem supportive, but in reality are just plain aggravating. Asking is just trivial, especially when the circumstances are clearly not okay. Listening goes hand in hand with this idea, meaning that you have to look for the meaning underneath the words and tune into what they may not be saying. Something a gesture as simple holding your love’s hand at the right moment can make all of the difference.

2. Support with more than just words: Saying you’ll be there for your partner, and actually being there for your partner are two different animals. Being at doctors appointments, making crazy food runs, and supplying the foot rubs will go miles beyond any words you speak. What people forget is pregnancy does involve two parties, although only one of them carries the child. Pregnancy still takes an emotional toll on both partners, which is why it takes a strong partnership to maintain a foundation of support.

3. Therapy is not just for the crazies: Point blank, we all need someone to talk to, and therapy is a great place to get an impartial third party opinion. Couples’ therapy has proven beneficial over recent years, allowing a safe place for the couple to open up and talk about issues at home. Even if there is just an aura of stress going around, therapy is a great place to dive into the root of the problem, and fix it under a united front.

Giuliana, 37, was keen on naming their son William, after her very own husband. Bill, 41, wasn’t too thrilled with the idea, “I’ve never been a fan of the ‘junior.’ I want to give him his own identity.” As names like Luke and Zack are weighed upon, the couple considers naming their son after their own fathers. Giuliana explains, “Your dad is Edward and mine’s Eduardo. We could name him Edward.” The conversation then continues on to what Giuliana most looks forward to when finally meeting baby Rancic — his personal traits. “I want to look at him and see you. I want him to be a ‘mini Bill.’ Honestly, I want him to be just like you.”

Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world on Wednesday by parents Bill and Giuliana Rancic, according to People. This is the first child for the couple who have had difficulties with infertility. Following a miscarriage and breast cancer, Guiliana was able to announce her pregnancy via gestational surrogate and shared the baby’s sex this past June. The tenacious couple has been through it all, but they never gave up on their dream to have a child together. Their surrogate is currently residing in Colorado where the pair traveled to on Monday to be there for the birth. During all of the excitement, Bill has been happy-tweeting and sending out positivity all around him. “Everyone is pumped,” says the 41-year-old entrepreneur, “Not just our family but so many people. Giuliana and Bill Rancic are not giving up!  After two failed attempts, the couple have decided to give in-vitro fertilization another try. The E! News host and her husband miscarried after their second  try of IVF. Devastated, they decided to put aside starting a family for a short while and focus on themselves and their relationship. Currently in the middle of their third IVF treatment, the reality star couple are optimistic, despite Guilian’s recent breast cancer setback. The two are not opposed to other options such as adoption or surrogacy, however they are desperate to get pregnant.  The Italian beauty tells UsMagazine.com, “If [our doctor says] after this cycle, ‘I don’t think this is going to happen for you naturally.  You’re going to have to look at more options then we will.”

TV personalities Bill and Giuliana Rancic will be ringing in the new year on top of the Nivea Kiss platform in Times Square.  The celebrity couple also helped Beiersdorf’s Nivea beauty brand launch the “Kiss the One You Love Contest” on Facebook, which invites couples to share their love stories for a chance to win a trip to New York City to join the Rancics for Nivea’s third annual celebration.  This year, no lip will be left unattended, as Nivea will touch the lips of many people with “A Kiss of Smoothness.”
