Jenny from the Block used to have a little, and now, she definitely has a lot! Jennifer Lopez, a native New Yorker who was born in The Bronx on July 24, 1969, has certainly made a name for herself in Hollywood. A Latina actress, businesswoman, singer, and dancer, there probably isn’t one person who doesn’t recognize the star. Best known as J.Lo, she started her career as a fly girl for In Living Color and as a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson. She landed her breakout role as the lead in the biographical film Selena, where she was able to showcase all of her talents, including acting, singing, and dancing. After the film premiered, Lopez was the It girl: Everyone wanted her in their films; everyone wanted to know what she was wearing; and everyone wanted to know who she was dating. She soon launched her own clothing line and also landed a series of roles in romantic comedies, including The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, and Monster-in-Law. Most recently, she has appeared as a judge on American Idol with Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban, and is gearing up to executive produce a dance competition on NBC, World of Dance.
Jennifer Lopez has had a very public relationship and love life filled with failed marriages and engagements. She married her first husband Ojani Noa in 1997; the marriage lasted 13 months before they split. She then took a walk on the wild side, dating hip-hop star Sean Puffy Combs. Next, the singer dated back-up dancer Cris Judd. After a month-long celebrity engagement, they walked down the aisle, only to divorce a year later. While going through her divorce with Judd, Bennifer was introduced to the world when Lopez stepped out with actor Ben Affleck. This celebrity relationship soon brought another engagement for the multi-talented star, but three weeks later, they broke up. Lopez was quick to find a rebound celebrity romance in Marc Anthony, and in 2005, the two were married. Two years later, the couple announced they were expecting twin celebrity babies, son Max and daughter Emme. In 2011, the couple divorced after seven years together; their children were three years old at the time. The celebrity mom of two quickly moved on and dated dancer Casper Smart for two years. For now, the sexy star is single (although she was spotted kissing Smart!) and looking better than ever, but we suspect it won’t be long until we see her with a new man!
