In the latest celebrity news, Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. says the reality TV show’s concept “barely works” when it comes to finding love off-camera. On a recent episode of the Couple Things With Shawn and Andrew podcast, Luyendyk Jr. reveals how he feels the show is unrealistic: ”It’s not natural to have two people that you [have], at the end, and then have to break up with one person and get engaged to another person an hour later.” The Bachelor alum isn’t completely writing off the show as he married his runner-up, Lauren Burnham. Despite not giving his wife the final rose, Lyendyke Jr. and Burnham tied the knot at their celebrity wedding in January 2019. Burnham also told the podcast, “it’s so hard to [build trust] in such a short amount of time.”

There is a bit of a buzz going on about the age gap between some of the contestants and the leading man on season 22 of The Bachelor. Is it really a big deal? After all, significant age differences are often common in celebrity relationships. A notable one is Mary-Kate Olsen and French businessman Olivier Sarkozy, who is seventeen years older than the fashion designer. Earlier this week, on Monday, July 15, 2013, the Playboy Mansion hosted some of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities at Beartrap Entertainment’s 8^th Annual All-Star Celebrity Kickoff Party. The annual event supports the Artists and Athletes Alliance, a not-for-profit organization that helps artists and athletes navigate the political process in Washington, D.C. This glamorous night helped kickoff summer sports awards season the way only a party at the Playboy Mansion could — and CupidsPulse.com was there to celebrate.

Most women know Arie Luyendyk, Jr. from appearing on Season 8 of The Bachelorette with Emily Maynard, but this eligible Dutchman made headlines far before ABC’s popular reality competition show.

Growing up the son of a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and Indy speed record holder, Luyendyk initially made a name for himself in the car racing world. “I grew up at the track, so being a driver felt natural to me,” he says of his career choice.

The day after it was publicly known that Jef Holm and fiancée Emily Maynard were calling it quits, Holm was seen out golfing, according to People. “Just what I needed,” Holm announced via his Twitter account on Tuesday — a day after announcing his split from fiancée Bachelorette Maynard. His golfing buddy ironically was Arie Luyendyk who was the runner-up on the Bachelorette. In response to calling off his engagement with Maynard, he commented that the two remain “great friends” and he hopes to continue his friendship with her. The duo “tried our hardest to make it work”, but it looks like the two will remain friends for now.

Rumor has it that Courtney Robertson shared a smooch with Arie Luyendyk just after ending her engagement to Ben Flajnik a week ago, according to People. Robertson ended her engagement to Bachelor star Flajnik who confirmed it on Friday, though no details have been shared regarding the split. Regardless, the Bachelor winner locked lips with Bachelorette runner-up Luyendyk. It seems that Robertson is keeping it within the same franchise. Her former fiancé seemed bewildered regarding the turn of events. Robertson and Luyendyk went out for a dinner date that ended off with a goodnight kiss at the same restaurant that Robertson went to with her former fiancé during her home visit on the television show.
