Vanessa Lachey, formerly known as Vanessa Minnillo, is a Filipino-American actress, model, beauty queen and television personality. Minnillo is most known for winning the Miss Teen USA title in 1998, and for her role as correspondent and host for MTV’s Total Request Live and Entertainment Tonight.
Originally born in the Philippines, Minnillo was raised in a military family that moved constantly during her childhood. In total, Minillo attended eight different schools in a span of nine years, living in Washington, California, Nevada, Florida, Germany, Japan and Turkey. Her family eventually settled down in South Carolina. Minnillo went on to represent South Carolina in the Miss Teen USA beauty pageant which she won and since then, she has gone on to model for BONGO Jeans, Maxim, Shape and Lucky magazine. Aside from Total Request Live and Entertainment Tonight, Minnillo has hosted ABC’s True Beauty and Wipeout. Additionally, she has appeared on hit television series like 30 Rock, The Bold and the Beautiful and How I Met Your Mother.
Minnillo entered a celebrity relationship with former 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey in 2006, shortly after his infamous celebrity divorce from Jessica Simpson. After dating for four years, the celebrity couple got engaged and married in 2011. The couple currently have two children, Camden John and Brooklyn Elisabeth.
