Carrie Underwood won the fourth season of American Idol and quickly rose to fame. Before she became the sweet and sassy country superstar we know today, she was just a small town gal from Oklahoma who had never been on a plane and put her dream of singing on the back burner for a degree in broadcast journalism. Her future changed when she auditioned for American Idol during her senior year at Northeastern State University. She is one of the few Idol contestants to go on to have an overwhelmingly successful career, winning numerous Grammy Awards, Country Music Association Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards.
After winning American Idol, Carrie Underwood dated a few stars before finding The One. The country singer’s first serious celebrity relationship was with Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo. They dated throughout 2007 before splitting up. She moved into a hot and heavy relationship and love with Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford for about a year before allegedly calling it quits via text message! Underwood then met and eventually married NHL player Mike Fisher in 2008. The couple lives in Nashville, where Fisher plays for the Nashville Predators, and welcomed their first child — a celebrity baby son named Isaiah Michael — on February 27, 2015.
