Bruce Jenner was born on October 28, 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York. He excelled at sports from a young age. Following an athletic injury in college, he quit playing football and instead become a track and field star. During the 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon in Montreal, he won a gold medal and broke a world record. He then became one of the most admired athletes of the 1970s, even earning his spot on the ever-sacred Wheaties cereal box.
His first marriage was to Chrystie Crownover and lasted from 1972 to 1981; they had two children together, Casey and Burt. His second marriage, from 1981 to 1985, was with Linda Thompson, and they had two more children, Brandon and Brody. In 1991, he entered his most famous celebrity marriage to Kris Jenner. The pair has two daughters together, Kendall and Kylie. He was seen raising and caring for the entire Kardashian clan on their hit E! reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which began airing in 2007.
After years of showcasing his life under a roof with the Kardashians, Bruce Jenner made an announcement in 2013 that he and Kris were separated. The separation was amicable and was even showcased on KUWTK, but in September 2014, Kris finally filed for a celebrity divorce. After months of explosive media speculation, a “family insider” confirmed in February 2015 that Jenner would be transitioning into a woman. Leading up to this announcement, the reality TV star was often seen wearing women’s clothing, lip gloss, and jewelry. Now that he has confirmed his decision, his family has shared their support, especially stepdaughter Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West.
In July 2015, the world was introduced to Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair. In spite of backlash, she has gone on to have her own series, I Am Cait, on E! and has also joined forces with MAC makeup to market a lipstick called Finally Free. The television series has opened up an important conversation about the trans community and 100% of proceeds from the Finally Free lipstick go to trans people. She has also been rumored to be dating I Am Cait co-star Candis Cayne.
