In the latest celebrity news, Kelly Clarkson and Usher opened up about the pains they both experienced as they were going through celebrity divorces. According to UsMagazine.com, the two discussed some of the challenges that follow a divorce in the spotlight on Clarkson’s talk-show, the Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson had recently announced her celebrity break-up from Brandon Blackstock in July of this year after nearly seven years of marriage, while Usher has gone through divorces with both Tameka Foster in 2009 and Grace Miguel in 2017.

According to UsMagazine.com, the famous couple tied the knot over Labor Day weekend and spent their celebrity honeymoon in Cuba. Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of the girl group TLC revealed that her two-year relationship with R&B singer Usher was not what inspired his 2004 album Confessions. In an interview with UsMagazine.com Thomas said, “We were together when he recorded that album. All of those songs on Confessions, that was about Jermaine Dupri’s situation. Usher was just singing it. But people kind of bought into it, it was just the timing of our breakup when the album came out.” She also said that the two broke up because it was just the time, but he was her first real adult love. She affirmed that she would always love Usher despite that the two broke up in 2003.

Usher is finally sharing the story of the heated custody battle he went through with his ex, Tameka Foster. UsMagazine.com reports that the claims have now been settled after three years, and Usher was rewarded primary custody of the couple’s two sons, Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3, on August 24^th. Usher has agreed to open up about his custody battle for the first time to Oprah on Oprah’s Next Chapter, which aired Septemebr 16^th. “This will be the only time that I’ve ever chosen to speak about it. I’ve been a man of integrity throughout the entire process, which I hope my boys will understand,” Usher told host Oprah Winfrey.

Well, the MTV Video Music Awards have come and gone yet again, and the celebs in attendance this year didn’t disappoint!  Some of the more notable duos walking the white carpet this year were Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez, Usher & Justin Bieber, Jersey Shore‘s Ronnie & Vinnie and Stephanie Pratt & Lo Bosworth, according to Hollywood Life.  And, of course, there was the much-anticipated awards show participants Taylor Swift and Kanye West.  After last year’s debacle where West barged on stage during Swift’s acceptance speech, he was on his best behavior.  The two stars separately sang two brand new songs addressing last year’s event, “like a pair of dueling attorneys making closing statements in front of a jury,” according to Tris McCall at the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
