By Vicky Sullivan of Aspiring Socialite
It was only a few years ago when Hollywood actress and socialite, Alexandra DiNovi, was discovered in a restaurant in her hometown of Hinsdale, Illinois.  Soon after, she was dancing with Vince Vaughn in the poker scene of The Break-Up.  Having been romantically linked to celebrities, such as Jack Osbourne, DiNovi has a lot to say on Hollywood dating.  However, despite the temptation and appeal of the glamorous red carpet life, she remembers to stay true to herself and her values when it comes to relationships.
In 2010, DiNovi took home Best Actress at the New York Film Festival for  Purity: A Dark Film, a short film about virginity, sex, and emotion that she wrote, directed, and starred in. Seeing that art often imitates life, much of the film is based on real events in her life, including her virginity.  For the first time ever, this rising star is opening up about her very personal decision to remain pure and save herself for love. As she explains it, “Love isn’t about sex; it’s about friendship and respect.”
