You can’t help but laugh when you think of Neil Patrick Harris. He was born on June 15, 1973 in New Mexico. Best known for playing Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother, he has been nominated for many Emmy Awards (and even hosted the awards show twice!). He was named one of Time magazine’s Most Influential People in 2010 and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011. He also dabbles in Broadway and has hosted the Tony Awards four times. In 2015, he became the first openly gay man to host the Academy Awards.
In terms of his relationship and love life, Neil Patrick Harris confirmed that he was gay in 2006 and brought his partner David Burtka to the Emmy Awards in 2007. Harris and Burtka announced their celebrity engagement via Twitter in 2011 when the Marriage Equality Act passed in New York, even though they had proposed to each other five years earlier. In 2010, it was announced that he and Burtka were expecting twins via a surrogate, and their son, Gideon Scott, and daughter, Harper Grace, were born that October. The famous couple wed in Italy in September 2014.
