Famous surfer, Bethany Hamilton, has revealed that there is a celebrity baby boy on board! Hamilton and her husband, Adam Dirks, announced on February 8th that they are expecting their first child together. Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack in 2003, has no plans to slow down. She revealed that she has been surfing through the pregnancy so far. According to UsMagazine.com, Hamilton said, “I’m about 22 weeks, which is about halfway there. It’s been a pretty crazy last four months finding out that we’re gonna be parents. Life’s kinda gonna be changing and [we’re] kinda just starting to prep for bringing a new little being into the world. It’s all really exciting.”

Bethany Hamilton surfed her way down the aisle this weekend and tied the knot with Adam Dirks. According to UsMagazine.com, the boarding beauty announced via Twitter, “Today was the most beautiful, wonderful best day of my life! God is more than good. Excited to live life with my husband Adam Dirks!” The ceremony was held in Kauai, Hawaii incidentally the same state where she lost her arm in a tiger shark attack back in 2003. Hamilton dished that the two will not be having the typical tropical honeymoon and instead, “We’re going to get a cabin, it’s going to be cute.”

The beach is a popular date destination, but for Bethany Hamilton, author of Soul Surfer — it’s where she got engaged. Hamilton told People, “Adam knew how to please his mermaid.” Hamilton, known for losing her arm in a shark attack yet continued to pursue her passion for surfing, opened up about the proposal. “We hiked to our favorite quiet beach, munched on lunch and hung out,” she said. “Then we went for a walk to a beautiful garden behind the beach. As we were walking we found two coconuts, my favorite thing to drink, which accompanied the ring. Then he started sharing his heart and love for me, and he dropped on his knee and proposed. I said yes and was crying and laughing all in a jumble. It was beautiful and perfect.”

Professional surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton recently announced that she is set to walk down the aisle with fiancée, Adam Dirks, reports People. The pair’s first “date” involved them jumping off a 40 foot cliff into the ocean, something that both of them site as a reason they fell for each other. On her blog, Hamilton announced the engagement and said, “I know Adam and I are right for each other.
