Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha tied the knot in a very private ceremony on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. According to People, the witnesses at the wedding were listed as Washington’s parents. Though the couple began dating last summer, they have worked to keep their relationship out of the public eye. After her split with her fiancee, David Moscow, in 2007, Washington told People that she, “was always that girl who was in long-term relationships …Â I am totally the girl who gets introduced to someone through a mutual friend and a dinner party, falls in love and then is with them for like two years.”
What are some ways to keep your wedding plans under wraps?

Nothing exacerbates the stress of planning a wedding quite like the constant prying and “helpful advice” from well-meaning friends and family. Sometimes it’s best to keep your wedding plans under wraps. Cupid has some ideas for how to do that:
1. Keep it simple: Plan a low-key ceremony that does not require a lot of preparation (by wedding standards). This will not only make it easier for you to keep your wedding plans hidden, it will also minimize the stress of planning a wedding in which so few people are available to help you.
2. Be vocal about what you want: It’s not rude to let people know when you announce the engagement that you would like to keep your wedding plans under wraps. This is your wedding and you are entitled to plan it however you wish.
3. Get a support team: If you are going to limit the number of people involved in your wedding preparations, then organization is of the utmost importance. Assemble a support team of close friends or wedding professionals (preferably both!) to help you pull this wedding off.
