When it comes to celebrity relationships, we often hear more about the ones that don’t work out than the ones that have been successfully over a long span of time. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to have a loving long-term marriage amidst the flashing lights.
1. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson: This couple first met while Hanks was filming for his television series Boston Buddies. It wasn’t until they started working together on the movie Volunteers that a romantic interest sparked among the two. However, once it did, it couldn’t be stopped. They married in April of 1988 and continue to live happily with their two sons Chester and Truman Theodore.

2. Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne: At the age of 18, Sharon first met Ozzy while her father was managing his band, Black Sabbath. When Black Sabbath decided to let Ozzy go, it was Sharon who decided to take on the role of manager for his solo career. By this point, they had become romantically involved and three years later, they married in Maui, Hawaii in July of 1982. Since their marriage, they’ve become the parents of three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne.
3. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani: On September 14, 2002, Rossdale and Stefani exchanged vows in St. Paul’s Covent Garden in London. Two weeks later, the pair held another ceremony in Los Angeles. Although there have been some rough patches, the couple worked through everything and remain together. They are also the parents of 3 small children named Kingston James McGregor, Zuma Nesta Rock, and Apollo Bowie Flynn.
4. Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington: Like most celebrity couples, Denzel and Paulette met on set. They were working together on a television show called Wilma. The chemistry was almost instant for the two and they were married in June of 1983. Together they became the parents of 4 beautiful and successful; John David, Katia, and twins Olivia and Malcom. In 1995, the happy in love couple took a trip to South Africa to renew their wedding vows with Archbishop Desmond Tutu officiating the ceremony.

5. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick: After meeting on the set of PBS’s version of Lanford Wilson’s play Lemon Sky, It was a given that the pair would fall in love. Once romantically involved, it only took until September 4th of 1988 to become man and wife. The couple continues to reside in the Upper West Side of New York City with their two children Travis and Sosie Ruth.
