According to Clooney, his bride-to-be had no idea idea he’d be popping the question when he did. In an interview with CBS, Clooney said, “When I asked her, we had never talked about it, so it was all — there wasn’t like a, ‘Maybe we should get married.’ Literally, I dropped it on her.” Clooney said that Alamuddin needed a moment to take it all in, reported UsMagazine.com.
