How do you decide how long to remain engaged before marriage?
Cupid’s Advice:
Let Cupid help you to decide how long of an engagement you should have:
1. Leave time to plan: Every little girl dreams of the perfect wedding, don’t disappoint your five year old self by throwing together a ceremony last minute. You’ll need at least three months to get everything together, but most brides give themselves about one year.
2. Everyone is different: Depending on what kind of jobs you and your hubby have, there may be a specific time of the year where you’ll be able to tie the knot. For example if you’re a personal accountant than setting a wedding date in April when your clients’ taxes are due is a bad idea.
3. Consider your age: A wedding is very expensive. If you’re younger then you may not have enough money saved up right away to have the wedding of your dreams. Don’t settle for less, as this will be one of the most memorable days of you life.
