A slogan for Mario Batali’s career could be “Good food creates good television.” Batali is a world-renowned famous chef, with many restaurants around the country. His Italian food is delicious and was what initially launched his fame. Beginning in the early 90’s, Batali opened a series of restaurants to the delight of the rather critical New York media. The success of his restaurants was so good that Batali was offered a celebrity TV show on the Food Network called “Molto Mario.” The show aired for 8 years. He’s also had success in his other restaurants as well. Along with Joe Bastianich, the duo formed B&B Hospitality Group. They have 10 restaurants in New York City, four in Las Vegas, two in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore, one in Boston, and an italian market in Chicago.
Batali has a beautiful family as well. He has been married to his wife, Susi Cahn, since 1994 and they have two celebrity children, Leo and Benno. The celebrity chef also has a philanthropic group, called the Mario Batali Foundation, that he started in 2008, which educates and empowers children to dream big while providing them with the necessary tools to become an active force for change in today’s world.
