Calum Milan Best is an American-British model, actor, and reality TV personality. He was born in San Jose, California to model Angie Beat and soccer legend George Best. Best began modeling in the U.S. as a teenager but moved to the U.K. at the age of 21. Perhaps he is best known for his bad boy image. He’s the playboy son to a soccer legend and has battled drug and alcohol addiction. Often seen partying at nightclubs, he’s known for hooking up and being single, even stating that being single is a part of his brand.
The infamous bad boy has appeared on a number of reality TV shows during his time in the U.K. including E4’s Fool Around With, Sky One’s The Match and ITV1’s Celebrity Love Island. In 2008, Best starred in his own reality show on MTV, Totally Calum Best, which chronicled his attempts at celibacy for fifty days. A year later, he was a guest judge on Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, in which he tested the contestants flirting abilities. In November 2009, the actor presented the BBC TV Documentary Brought up By Booze: A Children in Need Special, which highlighted the plight of children brought up by alcoholic parents. He was able to draw upon his relationship with his own father in the making of the documentary. Most recently, the reality TV star returned stateside to be a cast member of E!’s Famously Single, a reality show where celebrities are coached by relationship experts to improve their love lives. With Best’s track record of failed celebrity relationships, only time will tell if he can turn things around.
