Karell Williams is an American dancer turned television actor. Most recently Williams starred in the Starz miniseries Flesh and Bone, a fictional depiction of the drama-filled world of professional ballet dancers. In the series, Williams played the role of Trey, a trendy and competitive dancer who isn’t afraid to go after what he wants.

Originally from Miami, the dancer decided to move to New York so he could study at Juilliard. While at the prestigious conservatory, he studied dance under the instruction of premier ballet director Lawrence Rhodes. He then earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2007 and accelerated his career in dance theatre performing in notable productions at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and American Ballet Theater.

In an exclusive celebrity interview, Williams opened up about his transition from dancing to acting.
