It’s finally summertime, which means it’s time to get active outdoors with your other half.  You can motivate each other to be healthy while spending time together.

Go to a nearby park or trail to go bike riding.  If you don’t have your own bikes, you can look into rentals.  Set a moderate pace while taking in the scenery.  Remember, this isn’t a race, so don’t speed ahead or try to show off your skills.  To be extra romantic, go for the tandem bike and make this a team effort.

Another way to get fit on wheels is with roller skates.  Pretend you’re at a roller disco and dress up in 80′s outfits.  Put on your brightest neon tanks and shorts with matching leg warmers.  This will be a funny joke between the two of you and it will make for a memorable couples experience.

When you’re done with your workout, indulge in a thirst quenching piece of watermelon and a green salad with grape tomatoes and refreshing cucumbers.  You should pack this snack beforehand and bring it along for a meal to enjoy al fresco with your partner.
